What are key practices for getting & keeping ourselves empowered? How best to cultivate useful learnings in the face of great changes?

To all our highly valued clients and acquaintances:

As we are wrapping up the last big summer month of 2026 and getting ready for what is seen by many as the calm before the white water rush of the coming holiday season, many are telling me it may be a good time to review, recalibrate and reconstitute their most important year-end goals.

Some of this may require some innovative workarounds and wiser moves.

This may challenge/require us to create a fresh, disciplined “fire of desire”.

It could likely include resolute perseverance and lots of patient persistence.

Flood the zones of your life with quality value as you give your best.

We are going for progress, not perfection. This disruptive time can be fertile ground for innovation – unleash yourself to master your biggest challenges.

Where I currently live, we recently had ‘The Mother of all Thunderstorms’.

Not as severe as many other parts of the world and still, our version of mud slides, flooded streets, downed power lines, fallen trees and the works.

After being seriously warned to shelter in place, the obvious next steps were to assess the damage and start a community mop up operation.

Shortly thereafter, I drove out of a store parking lot and on the corner was a veteran near his bike, asking for help. I asked him how he was doing and he said, “I’m old and tired and I’m not quitting.” I loved his determined energy, so I gave him what I could. I’ll help him again. He inspired me.

Why talk about this? Sometimes we have versions of “didn’t see that coming” storms and need ways to restore our own personal power.

Seems to me that most of us (and most of the world) is experiencing an unprecedented scale and pace of change that one could possibly imagine.

In the face of these whirlwinds of uncertainty, I often refer to this poem:

“Your task is to build a better world,” said God, and I answered, “How?

“This world is such a large, vast place, and oh, so complicated now.

And I’m so small and useless, there is nothing I can do.”

But God, in all His Wisdom said, “You just build a better you.” – Anonymous.

To have a coach or not to have a coach – is that a question??

We are here to help you strengthen your focus to precede your successes.

If the best service I can provide for you is to stay out of your way, let me know and I will gladly, quietly and persistently cheerlead you at a distance.

One of my mentors told me at the outset: “the best part about working with me is that you can ignore everything we discussed or that I just suggested.”

I’ve Got a Talking Stick & I’m Not Afraid to Use It.

It is here, for the asking. You talk and I listen.

My “listening tour” will be continuing into August. Given our relationship, what would you most like to talk about and what would serve you best? Are you betting on yourself and creatively progressing in the face of any odds?

I’m in the business of helping people get what they want for their reasons.

I strive to ask good questions and then just carefully listen. For example:

Tell me something good that’s happening in your world today?

Feel free to contact me. Until next time – best to you. At your service.
